Haribhakti Family was very well known in 18th century with business of Haribhakti Pedhi. The business was primarily run from Vadodara and had spanned to multiple cities across India. The family residence was in Haribhakti Haveli in Ghadiyali Pol in Vadodara.

Between 1885 - 1895 Sheth Shri Maganbhai Haribhakti was living Haribhakti Haveli along with his brothers. A saint named Goswamiji Maharaj of Kakaroli (ancestor of shri Vrajbhushanji Maharaj) visited Haribhakti Haveli. After staying for few days, he was very happy with the family's hospitality. At the time of leaving he gave four deities to Shri Maganbhai Sheth with his blessings and told do seva with certain rituals. The four deities were: Balaji Maharaj, Swaminiji, Shamliji & Madan Mohanlalji. He also gave and 'Akhand Divo' (n eternal flame that symbolizes the continuous presence of divine energy and the everlasting nature of spiritual wisdom) and told to do 'Sada Vrat' (the practice of providing free food or alms to the needy on a daily or perpetual basis).

Shri Magandas Sheth passed this seva to his son Shri Dhayabhai Sheth and he then passed on to his son Shri Bhagwandas Haribhakti. Bhagwandasbhai made a temple in the Haribhakti Haveli for the four deities. He also formed a system for family members for seva and it's mandir's financial wellbeing. A pujari was also kept for doing puja daily.

As the next generations started moving out from the Haveli, the Mandir and it's Puja was still done daily. In around 2018 Haribhakti Haveli became inhabitable due to its 200+ years of age. The deities were temporarilly moved to Haribhakti's Family's ancestor temple Raneshwar Mahadev premises. A new Temple in the Raneshwar Mahadev premisses were built deities were moved to this new temple in 2022.

A bigger idol of Balaji Maharaj & Swaminiji was made for the new temple. So, currently there are four original deities of Balaji Maharaj, Swaminiji, Shamliji & Madan Mohanlalji from 18th century and two bigger idol versions of Balaji Maharaj & Swaminiji are at the Haribhakti Balaji Mandir.
